You'll be lucky if you don't want to pay for each item to be shipped seperately. I placed an order over a week ago and went back and checked the other day. The order was due to arrive Feb. 23rd. So I deleted a book which was supposed to be out now and isn't and the biodynamic calendar.
I checked today. My items may arrive, with standard shipping fees, although i more than qualified for free shipping, between December 27th and Feb. 6th. This is without the problem books.
I am so glad we sold the Amazon shares. Looks like they've jumped the shark and becoming a bumbling bureaucracy. evil
Is this Amazon.com or co.uk - was hoping to have my christmas gifts sent via them to the uk. ?
Amazon.com. evil
Him indoors has now ordered his own books and got a faster delivery date. I'm stunned. Mind I think he's looking at the shipping date, not the estimated arrival date.
I ordered 70 pots of Pot Noodles from Tesco.com and my Dad is sending them over.
I've never had a problem with Amazon. Well, except once. I chose the super saver free shipping and something took a month to arrive.
The co.uk site seems better than the one this side of the pond. I can order a present for my Mum or Dad and it's normally there in two days with standard mail.
I ordered 70 pots of Pot Noodles from Tesco.com and my Dad is sending them over.
Maybe your eating preferences have something to do with your lack of partner.
Annie - I've never had a problem until now with Amazon.
We always use the supposedly slow free shipping saver, and our orders have always arrived with in 8-10 days and less.
But, I placed an order early Sept. and was told the order would arrive Oct. I finally received it November 11th. But still with one book missing, and now am told that won't arrive til late December.
So I have no idea what's going on, although I know a couple of mine were only recently published.
This is the slowest service we've ever gotten.
I hope you are all using the Britnet links to Amazon to earn money to support the site........

mrgreen
I won't be using Amazon again in the near future. Placed and order over 6 weeks ago and just received it yesterday.........and they got the order wrong! evil
Has anyone ordered from Boots and sent to people in the UK? We're just curious on shipping. I think internet ordering from Amazon and Boots is what we'll be doing for the UK family. Of course we will use the britnet link! Is boots on there??? grin
Never had a problem with them. Mind you I have never ordered more than 1 thing at a time and have not been worried when it turned up.
I guess its all down to the fact that I have extremely low expectations of anything in this country working right, so when a parcel arrives roughly when they say it would, I am absolutely amazed.
Order a lot from amazon and have never had a problem . If we dont have enought to qualify for the free shipping we usually ask Melanies parents if they want anything and include it with our order and give it to them when we visit .
At christmas we give gift certificates thats instant and no shipping is required .
We also use a amazon visa card for a lot of shopping and when we acrude 2500 points we get a $25 gift certificate pay it of at the end of the month so dont pay any interest .
Amazon .com has always been great when I've ordered.
