That's the amount mentioned in this article that the US has detained during the war on terror.

That is absolutely astonishing. But not as much as how little people seem to care. How do you feel about the detention policies of this admin, and Gitmo now it's been there for a few years? And do you believe that torture has been sanctioned by this admin - and d oyou think that's kosher?

Me - I'm disgusted. If nothing else turned me against this admin it's this whole thing. It is vile and I cannot believe that more Americans are not up in arms that this admin reserves the right to detain anyone it pleases, including American citizens, for any amount of time, without charge, even overseas at the hands of foreign intelligence agencies, and demands the right to torture them. It is repulsive.
They must be the stupidest people in the world. If Britain couldn't defeat the Prov. IRA in 30 years with 100,000 troops, in a tiny country, with the majority of the population there supporting them how do you think the Yanks will do it in Iraq?

Oh and getting back the point, yeah, like you Bungle I'm disgusted and amazed that hardly anyone gives a phuck. A sad indictment of American society.
