Ok when did you start to feel old.

Was it when you said

1 No one ever done such a thing in my day
2- Thats not real music
3- That Guy looks to young to carry a gun and be a Cop.
4- What type of dance is that
5- Na I cannot have that last beer
6- Never had a hangover like that, normally can have twice as much booze lol

anymore to add to the list lol
I feel older when I see

Cops that look like teenagers

Doctors that look like teenagers

Young mothers that look far too young to be having babies

My co workers (car salesmen) young enough to be a child of mine
When the girl who drove me home the other night talked about men ceasing to be sexy by the time they are 35.
I don't really feel old but the relativity of it kicks in when I realise that I still listen to mostly 80s or early 90s music and when I watch sports and notice how all the atheletes/sportsmen are younger than me.

Yes, same here.

Also, when I got called a few months back to play on a "Veterans 35 & over" soccer team. Reminded me of the "All Priests Over 75's 5-a-Side Tournament" in Father Ted....

LOL  she'll wake up one day.

I don't feel old, but realise I am getting older when I watch young couples with their small children, and I remember the age ours are now.

The body wants to slow down a little, but I refuse.

The memory is not as brilliant as it used to be.

I did feel old at 48, when my health turned sour for awhile.

But I still refuse to act old, today I had to go get my eyes tested.
And the guy asked if I wanted plastic frames, because I cannot wear metal.
I said nope, I might be a Nanna, but you're not going to granify me, I'll take
the sexy little titanium ones.

Poor kid didn't know what to do...

I'm not surprised -titanium is a metal, albeit "body-compatible" :P

Yeah, I'd agree with that - particularly freaky when you realise that film stars, pop singers, athletes are 10+ years younger than you.

I was watching The Young Ones recently on BBC America and I realised that it was over 20 years old now......... That made me feel old, and watched a one woman show of Tracy Ullman's career, where she showed a caption of the BBC TV comedy show Three Of A Kind with Lenny Henry and David Copperfield (not the dodgy man who walked through the great wall of China  ) and I realised that was back in the eighties too.........

I was just looking at the BBC News when I happened to stumble upon a story about the child star Jack Wild who played the Artful Dodger in the musical Oliver! with Mark Lester and Ron Moody back many moons ago

This was Jack Wild as the Artful Dodger.......

And this is him now. He's the one on the left by the way........

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4439320.stm

It's at times like these that I realise that time marches on and I don't know about anyone else but I look at people in a 'then and now' sense and I think to myself that if it's happening to them then it's happening to me.............
shock When we were 12 my friend used to draw pictures of Jack Wild and write his name on her pencil case!

I read the article - sounds horrible.

Regarding Goose's question lol I can't tell you the real moment I started to feel old - this is a family show after all, but another moment was when I realised that all the characters one is required to "relate" to on tv or in films are so much younger that I could almost be their mother - at which point it's almost incestuous! I do forget how old I am because my children are still young, but I don't want to end up being too old-fashioned a parent - I need to stay in touch.

At least I recognise the current fashions (wore them in the 70's) and can sing along with the songs (also from the 70's and 80's) and therefore can give the illusion of being "in". (lol)
I do find questions like this so difficult. What does old feel like. I'm a physical wreck and where my mind used to provide solutions very quickly, I now need time. But I get there. I know that my memory isn't what it used to be, and I can't hold arrays of related information in my consciousness any more, but I don't feel old, older, yes, but not old. Perhaps that is because I can get older yet. Aging is relative where "old" is absolute, and I am still aging.
I shouldn't yet but I do when my 7 year old suddenly starts telling me that I am!!!!! ???
You are old when you are told you have less than a year to live.

That can happen at any age.

So forget about how old you may look or feel. Live for today.

I know it is, but titanium isn't supposed to cause allergic reactions with the skin like the other metal frames. I did have a reaction to my first pair, but they were replaced free of charge. These ones are going to be cuties though and so light weight.
