I am in limbo awaiting my card, I finally had some good news we have been issued a date for and interview to remove conditions etc. My question is will it be all sorted that day, I mean will I be given my residency card, freedon to travel etc that day?

Thanks people )
Hopefully... when I went for my interview I wasn't given the card that day, it arrived in the mail like a week later, but the removing conditions and all that good stuff was done that day.
Got my card about five weeks after the interview but yes, with my case, a decision was made during the interview and I was taken off for new fingerprint, gave them the photos I'd brought with me for the new card and had my old card confiscated (they stamp your passport with a temporary I-751 stamp to cover until the 10 year card arrives).

So in short, yes if you satisfy them, you get dealt with there and then (at least that was my experience at Portland, OR about 2 years ago).
So what do they ask? Do I need to prepare for things?
I wasn't asked anything beyond whether I was still in contact with my ex-wife. My attorney was basically a waste of money that day but I had him there just in case.

In my experience, if your application and supporting documentation is good enough, then they make up their mind from that and the interview is a formality.
