Murray, Bangers or Wellington. They're my suggestions. That's what I'm going to name my dogs if/when I get one. But seeing as my husband was attacked by a dog a few months back, I think it could be awhile... sad
Cockapoos are cute dogs. A friend of mine had one (it died recently of old age cry ) that was a lot like the one in the pic, and they called him Biscuit. It suited him, cos he was kinda the colour of a biscuit. My husband had one as a kid, and it was called Porky. Don't know why....
What would I call it? Ummmmm..... I like Nell's suggestions a lot, especially Bangers. If it was being naughty, you'd get the chance to shout BANG really loud. You'd make the whole household jump! twisted
He definitely looks like a Steve
A photo would help -or at least a colour, but in the meanwhile how about...
Blair -in honour of Bush's poodle who cocked it up
Noodle the cockapoodle -in homage to the flying spaghetti monster.....
Spandle -just to be awkward (how much better would that combination have been for the breed name? Someone must have asked Barbara Cartland's advice when trying to decide between the two possibilities )
You don't like the dog :?:
He's a cutie!
I like Steve too. Or a tough mob name like Tony (like from the Soprano's - not like blair). I always go with human names. D
My cats are Winston, Simon and Gemma
I like Newton, Einstein, Euclid, etc. unless you are into the humanities; then Byron, Milton or Wordsworth. I like names with two syllables with a punchy first syllable for calling.
So I suggested some of these to my wife and she liked Simon and Winston. For a bit she called him Charlie but it didn't stick. So she's decided to go with Weston.
Yeah - after Weston Supermare. Mad I tell you.
We could never decide on a name for our cat who's ended up being called Kitty when she's good and Yassa, after arafat, when she's bad. Yassaourcat sounds OK.
Rocky, after the cock a doodle doo fame.
Manuel, after the spaniel bit.
Sorry, no good at naming without a pic. Our last Cavelier King Charles was called Alfie, cos he had that what's it all about look.
A bit late on this one but how about "Arrfer" as in he's 'alf a spaniel and 'alf a poodle wink

Weston is a good name! Did I google right, that your dog is named after a pier?
Deefer . . .my bro has a cat called Ceefer, another called Noname
Couldn't offer a name without seeing him
Manc and Emellbee's dog is called Deefer.
aye she is.
Our cats are called Max and Sasha and our new dog is called Sam. We didn't choose the names, they were already given at the shelter but we liked them ok.

Its a seaside resort with a pier. Not my favourite place though, the sea ebbs until it is out of sight and leaves the mud there. If you walk in it it dries on you and looks much like the mudpacks that women use, or used, on their faces. I don't know why it had to get fancy with the name, I think that wealthy people lived there at one time. Now that the Hoi Polloi use it, it would be more fitting to call it Weston On Sea.
Actually when my wife and I lived in Swansea she saw a bus day-trip sign to Weston Supermare and said "What kind of name is that? Do they have bionic horses?"
So we tried to think of dog names that reminded us of when we lived in Swansea. There is, of course, Swansea Jack which was a dog that allegedly saved a large amount of people from drowning in the sea. Which is clearly nonsense as it was a tiny Jack Russell and the amount it was supposed to have saved was 15 or soemthing. I liked the name, but one of our aunts is already using it. I lived on King Edward road for awhile. But that's an extraordinarily silly name for a dog. Great for a hamster though. We also lived on Finsbury and Uplands - neither of which seemed good enough. So after reading Sleepyheads suggestion of Winston my wife remembered Weston Supermare. In fact, she claims that is the dogs full name. Jeez...
