I am because my daughter and son-in-law are flying in on Christmas Eve and as we haven't seen them since their wedding in May I'm starting to get excited lol
So have you started shopping/planning for the holidays yet?
More importantly and more imminent, only 13 days until the X-Box 360 is released.
Actually, that's not more important than getting to see family at Christmas - no wonder you are getting all excited. smile
I'm thinking about doing the Xmas shopping this weekend - get it out the way now and then go back to getting stuff for myself - like the aforementioned console.
Hopefully go back to UK next Christmas - this one will be spent here as my brother is away in Iraq, sister is spending her first Xmas with her new husband and my parents are busy doing stuff anyway.
With no disrespect to my wife. I am not even thinking about xmas. I only really enjoy it when I see my family and that is rare on xmas. We have my MIL coming so I must admit I am absolutely dreading it...I can't stand the old battle axe.

Hmmmm.........hope my new Son in Law doesn't think of me like that
Trying not to think about how close it is.
Though this year I won't be buying prezzies for all and sundry.
Not sure what we are doing yet but will probably spend the day at home with the kids and later go to friends.

My daughter was married May, 28. But they live near me.
I hope it's a good visit.
I'm going to shop online this year, as I mostly did last year. I'm not sure what we are doing at Christmas, we are doing Thanksgiving at the above, daughter's house. We'll think of Christmas after that.
They will soon be advertising salad shooter!

I know what you mean. I've never liked any of the Xmases spent here. Might be a bit better this time as I have my partner and her five year old to "enjoy" it with and if that fails, I'll just play video games all day and pretend I'm not another year older.

If you are a fairly regular human being who doesn't believe that the world owes you a living and a big house and that everyone should serve your every whim and pay for you to do everything you want and you are not bloody rude every second of every day. Then I think you will be fine..
My and my MIL have issues. I take issue with the fact she is still alive...

Did all my Xmas shopping a few weeks ago, however I still have to wrap everything, write my Xmas cards for back home and get everything mailed off. Only thing left to do now is order some British food online so I can indulge during the Holidays. mrgreen
