I was wondering when you all have had packages mailed to you from the UK to the US, how long has it taken?

I am in FL and had a package mailed to me last Saturday 13 days ago, by Airmail, not registered. I looked it up on here and this it what it said http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/conte...27#1400035

How fast is Airmail?
Usually within three days to Western Europe, four days to Eastern Europe and five days for the rest of the world, following the day of posting

What do you all think? or suggest?
Four days is about the best I've had, from Bracknell, Berks to Oregon, USA but I usually allow a week.

It takes about 10 days to go from here to there though.
Same here, 4 days from deepest darkest Devon to San Jose, 10 days from San Jose to Devon. Go figure lol
My mums package sent end of the month surface took 4 days, she nearly fell over when I told her that I'd received it.
I think they throw smaller packages in the airmail to make up the load sometimes

Hmm I starting to get a little worried now....4 days!!!! its been 13 days since my Dad mailed my package :???:

Some photographs mailed to me from the UK recently took two weeks. That's not quite the record, but I usually expect it to be a week.
2 weeks...and thats not the record you have had longer..well, that makes me feel a little better. Maybe theres still hope for my package? roll
We received a letter from Scottish Provident which was posted two days previously in the UK with only a second class stamp!! shock

Is this a record????

Now you haven't had cornflour shipped have you?
Well, I sent some prints to a guy in Belfast the Thursday of the week before we left for Australia, expecting them (as I was told) to take about a week 7-10 business days.

He had them on the Monday before we left. So they only took 4 days including the delivery day.

Andrew )
Barclays always sends everything to me with a second class stamp.

Nope, why you ask?

Because it would look like anthrax.....

It is possible for packages to takes months and still turn up. The times given on the UK website do not include arsing-about-time added on by the US customs etc. Most packages make it within a week, but not all, by a long shot.
If it's been sent surface you're looking at six weeks. Pray it was sent air mail.
Airmail for me takes at least a week. Surface takes at least 6. Dunno why but when my mother sent me stuff it took forever.
