Well I have been told a financial agent is my best route to find a loan while I am home. Now where do I find one. What category are they under in the yellow pages. I am going to Cardiff. The plane I am on leaves 1 Nov, get into Heathrow 2 Nov. What am I looking, please. I think they are the same a brockers over here, just go betweens. I am talking to hsbc bank international on Monday. Have been told they will expatriates. Anybody with a lead on this please.
Try googling mortgage brokers UK.

I came up with a few links:

http://www.searching4finance.co.uk/s4f/*...ges/90-209

http://www.uknetguide.co.uk/Finance/Mort...okers.html

http://www.themortgageshop.net/

I also put in mortgages for expatriates. This came up with a host of sites too.

Good luck in your search. Say "Hi" to Cardiff for me - I spent my Uni years down there.
I went to Google and put in British Expatriate financial advice. Well I have found a place that help British Expatriates living outside the UK but need a loan at home in the UK. It is HBSC International Banks. They even have a branch in New York. I talked to them on the phone today. They checked my usa account, my uk account and emailed me back with approval within the hour. All I have to do is going into HBSC branch and finish the paperwork. I do not want a mortgage. I just wanted a small home improve loan I have to give 25% of the cost of this uplift programme to the Council. Why would I want another mortgage, my house is paid for. I do not want more mortgages and more debt. I just wanted this money to cover this Council grant business. I fly home tomorrow. I do the paperwork on Friday. If anyone is interested they also do mortgages for expatriates.
