Great horror movies? Well, there's "Funnyman" with an evil northern demon jester, the original version of "The Vanishing", "Battle Royale" (admittedly not really horror, but disturbing nonetheless), Videodrome with Debbie Harry, and a real under-the-radar film called "The Hole" with Thora Birch.
Private Parts.
Uzumaki, Ichi the Killer and Chaos would be a cool way to spend the evening if you fancy some Japanese stuff.

Although these films scare me.
Not much into Japanese films other than Godzilla myself,

However I like these scarey movies...

H20
Aliens
Dr. Phibes
The Lost Boys (I know, not really horror)
Psycho of course
The Birds
American Werewolf In London

Can't think of anything else at the moment. mad
The Shining is one of my all time favourites - because I'm a big fan of Jack's.

I must admit though I was around when the Exorcist first came out, and back then that was really scary stuff, and I mean people walking out of the cinema to be sick, and nightmares kind of scary!

Psycho is a classic too. Also into zombie movies here - original of course.

Somehow I don't find any of the modern remakes match up. Maybe it's because of all the gratuitous violence we are so conditioned to seeing these days.
no particular order here...

the haunting
psycho
the exorcist
the wicker man
psychomania
asylum/tales from the crypt/etc..
Deathline
the hills have eyes
re-animator
zombie flesh eaters
cannibal holocaust
dawn of the dead
scanners
videodrome
the devils
curse of frankenstein
candyman
phantom of the opera (lon chaney version)
les yeux sans visage
invasion of the body snatchers (Original version)

Should we send flowers?

Don't laugh but I love the film The Legend Of Hell House starring Roddy McDowall, Gayle Hunnicutt, Pamela Franklin and Clive Revill. It's from back in 1973 but I just love it because it's creepy and pretty eerie at times (for me at least wink )

While I'm thinking of it I watched Shaun Of The Dead a few weeks ago I thought it was alright wink
"The Fog".

The original is good but the remake, which I saw last night, was close to the original but improved (IMO).

Not seen that one.  Is the Count wearing fishnets and high heels and singing Transylvanian Transvestite?
