Having a devil of a time trying to get a loan. I am here and going to the UK l Nov as I have a house there. I rent it out, its paid for. I have an English bank account. The manager of the bank assured me over the phone three weeks ago, oh, no problem. Two days ago he denied the loan. I am trying to find some place to get a loan. My aunty has a power of attorney. Any advice, please.
The problem may be that you don't live in the house that you own in the UK. I got a remortgage in the UK quite recently when I live in the US. They didn't ask whether I lived in the house so I didn't tell them.

Your best bet is to find a financial agent in the UK rather than go directly to a bank. They shop around to find the banks that don't have a problem with your situation.
problem is where do I search, been to Google, not much info there.
Hei, welshrain, sut mae'r hwyl?

Try someone like the Halifax.. one of the ex "building societies". Just before i sold up and came here I actually managed to remortgage through a company called igroup - a little expensive, but they did the job for me. Mind you, I was in the UK at that time.

Yellow pages. There's loads of them. Just call them and explain your problem, there's always someone who can help you out.

Well I am disabled so it will take me a few days to recover from my trip across the Atlantic. I was suppose to give the Council the money on the 8th of November. I will be scrabbling around trying to find a loan. I booked a ticket home for a month, thank goodness I did not do it for two weeks.
