Every religion seems to have it's own forecast of the end of the world and the seemingly impending apocalypse....... shock
I was just reading an article on the NY Times website about prognastications, and what bugs me if is George W is so religious, why hasnt he come up with a Doomsday protection plan? Or is he keeping it a secret? roll
A global catastrophy has happened on Earth before, it's nothing new right? and right now weve had all these natural disasters, are they a sign of something major which is going to happen?

I'd call in and ask for a zombie take-over as that'd be dead exciting, with a bit of good luck/bad luck thrown in to keep it fresh.
Those that stopped to pray or do anything else arguably useless would get bitten so only action heroes need apply for staying beyond the end of days.

Not so much.
In the late fifties and early sixties, the world was expected to end in a nuclear hell. Some people stopped investing in their future and were living only for the day.
When the Bushies came to power, they practically ignored the middle east. Someone close said thet the whole crowd were born agains and believed that Armagedon was due to take place there; so there was no point.; the Jews and Moslems would be wiped out and only Christians would be there.
The end of the world is about five million years away; at that time, the sun will expand into a "red giant" which, will encompass the solar system. The survival of humanity may be in our hands until then; unless the zombies take it out of our hands first.
My money's on Yellowstone Park going up in a huge volcanic blast wiping out most of America and finishing off the rest with an ice age. Could happen at any time y'know.

Well, I have my tins of soup and a bag of beef jerky, I'm sure I'll get another wooly for crimble, so I won't starve or freeze, but if I have to go more than a week without a DD coffee fix, I'll be one of the Zombies.
