I'm tired of America having all these holidays that nobody ever gets off but Federal employees.

And the financial sector :) I get Veterans Day off too.. and Presidents day and MLK day too.

Only good thing about these holidays is the roads are empty and the commute takes less time.

All for smaller governments, keep the feds off the roads , regards. wink wink

Don't tell di, but I get 14 holiday days off in the year :???: but I did spend all my former working life in healthcare working every holiday known to mankind so now I work for the county I feel I deserve it (sorry di  )

Oh I don't mean to whine.  First job I ever had that had 20 days paid vacation over here.  ) (Working for churchly organizations has it's upsides)
I get no days off P
We have Thursday off as well....it's Yom Kippur. What puzzles me no end is that there are only maybe 3 or 4 Jewish kids in the school of almost 600 pupils, so why have everyone take the day off? Same last week when it was Rosh Hashana.

Next month there are 4 public holidays and a whole week of early dismissal when we have parent/teacher conferences.

Makes you wonder if it's worth sending them at all!!!! wink lol

Debs x smile

VRB, how do you do it? Every time you have posted lately, you get at least a smile out of me. This pic got a big laugh, and even Mr Snuggles came over to the computer to take a gander.
