My mom has been on my case to make sure that we get our Christmas Presents are in the mail to the UK this week.
Is this right? Should we be Christmas shopping now, for the family and friends in the UK????? shock
off the top of my head - yes. I remember the date is in october some time for guaranteed before Christmas. I bet it is on the US postal services website.
However, I have sent parcels later than this and they have arrived in time. And these days, due to the price of shipping internationally, I buy our gifts online and get them to ship to where I want them to go. They wrap and put appropriate labels on. Saves a fortune in shipping costs when they are only having to ship inside the UK.
Amazon, Thorntons, Tescos etc. Great for Christmas presents. )

see here for the international mailing deadlines. wink
Having been caught out frequently with shipping in plenty of time, paying a fortune, only to have the parcel arrive mid-January, we now tend to buy presents when we see each other. That way the full amount spent goes on the present, without any shipping worries. Means you have less of a huge pile on your birthday/Christmas, but also stretches out the present giving through the whole 365 days... wink
Or else we do gift vouchers for Amazon, or the shop of the recipient's choice.
Thanks! It never occured to me to get something off of amazon uk and have it sent straight to them. Tesco's and Thorntons does the same? Great! mrgreen
If you go to the Britnet home page, there's a whole section of shopping links for sending gifts to the UK.
