Karen...Kroger sells Alpen so when you are in Dallas you could stock up!
MMM....Kroger is the same as Ralphs, I think. Don't you have Ralphs in CA?
Kroger sells Alpen?? Which branch do you shop at, cel? My local branch doesn't have it. I'd be willing to venture the traffic on 635 to find some. lol
Do you have Kroger Signature store? Thats where we found it, in a place called Alvin Texas. Its been a while since we went in there, they used to have a store manager who was a Brit so there were a few British goods for a while but then he must have got transferred somewhwere else.
Thanks for the info, cel. I'm off to look for a Kroger Signature store! I'll let you know.

There's one in Capitola, but I have no reason to frequent that place
 But there's a very nice man there that I am sure would get it for you and maybe even deliver it to you
Never thought of that
I'd have to make it worth his while though
Try and find Bob's Red Mill Muesli, it doesn't have any of the crap that Alpen has in it (such as sugar) so you can add your own if need be, but it's very good.
Andrew )
(Thankfully) we don't have a Krogers here...(In fact I don't think there are any Krogers in CA, I know they have them in Portland and Washington (I think)

Found it yesterday in Albertson's. Either I'm too tight, or there's something wrong with my ethics - because I refuse to pay $6 plus tax for about 3oz of cereal!!!
KR
The smallest package is 18 oz. and that supplies about 18 - 1/4 cup servings that are all good stuff, not suger and filler. that's about $0.34 per helping, at $6.00
I pay $4.69.
If you get it direct from bob's, you can get 4 - 18 oz packs for $20.00 inc. shipping. That's $4.44/lb.
I know - I was exaggerating. Still - you'd have to know me to know that 1/4 of a cup of cereal wouldn't even get me out of bed in the morning. I need a bit more than that I'm afraid........ 8)
Think I'll stick to cornflakes....... lol

I know it may be of little help to most people. but Alpen is a common cereal in Canada sold at any supermarket. So if you ever happen to be over the border or know someone else who is......

The Alpen you can buy here is 'Made in Canada'.
We have plenty of Alpen here in NJ at A&P shops....no sugar Alpen and regular
I got on my horse here and moseyed on down to my local Kroger Signature store, and sure enough, there was the Alpen. I grabbed a packet, put it in my saddlebag and rode on home, eagerly anticipating a bowlful of my favourite cereal only to find it was the "no sugar" variety! sad

At your Kroger's - which section is Alpen in??? The cereal aisle, the organic aisle, or the British Foods aisle???
I'd like to know as we will be someplace with a Kroger Signature this weekend!!!
