Hello
I am looking into the immigration process for Canada. I am a UK resident but my girlfriend who lives with me here is a canadian. We have both decided that we would like to move back to Canada. Obviously this is not a problem for her but we were wondering if anyone has any advice on what the best way for myself to go there.
First off we looked at the immigration process but that could take up to 2 years. Ideally we would want to get there quicker if possible. Unfortunately we haven't been living together for the required one year to qualify for the common law partner rule.
Does anyone know of another way or route we could follow. If not, what would be the best procedure - 1. simply apply through the normal skilled worker immigration process or 2. wait for the required minimum year and apply through the common law partner.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
