I don't know if any of you are following this live, but in case you didn't know, Radio 5Live is now doing live broadcasts (they weren't in the earlier test), and it is soooo much better than the R4 'dry' coverage. It's similar to what they do from Wimbledon - lots of light-hearted banter.

BTW, it's 4pm here (about 10 miles from The Oval), and I hear thunder!
keep raining.

is it true the aussies chose to go off for bad light earlier?
I thought they needed to win this.
Covers are on now (no play after tea). It is quite dark though.
good.

whats the forcast for the next few days?
My mate went today. What a crap day to go.... )
Forecast for next few days is pretty crap apparently - tomorrow is supposed to be the worst.

Lets keep our fingers crossed.

I too don't understand why after tea, the Ozzies chose not to come on - if they don't win, we've got the Ashes.

They're coming home, they're coming home (said with finger and toes crossed)
We Won! We Won! We Won! We Won!

Anyone near Chicago want to come over for a BBQ this weekend to celebrate???
Well, I guess that's it, then. The cricket is finally over, summer is drawing to a close and the Aussies are on their way home ..........WITHOUT THE ASHES!!!!!

But enough partisan celebration. It has been a fabulous five match Test series, played in a great spirit of competition, respect and admiration by both sides. Well done England for being superb after going one down at Lords. Well done to Australia for make a fight of every Test. Well done to both sides for making it an unmissable, unpredictable and exciting seven weeks.

Last, but not least, farewell Richie Benaud. The one Aussie the Brits universally like and respect, departs the commentary box in England for good. As he might say himself, it's been a corker!
