I've read that across the river from Boston in Cambridge, lies the best indian restaurant west of London. Its called the Bombay Club and its meant to be reasonably priced. Anyone missing curries like me interested in an evening outing sometime soon ?
What a brilliant idea...
If I wasn't 3000 miles away Emily and I would join you.
Lime pickle regards
Andrew ..
One food ive never really liked is curry .
To each his own i quess . smile smile smile
No need to cross the river.
The India quality restuarant in Kenmore square is every bit as good as anything I have been to in England. Caters to a lot of students too so the prices are pretty good.
I have heard mixed reviews of the Bombay club. A lot of people say that it is only popular with people who have never had Indian food before. I don't think that I have ever eaten there so I can't comment.
Would love to join you for a curry but I am about 1hr 1/2 drive away in New Hampshire. We do make it down to Boston every now and then though and when we do a curry is usually top of the list of things to do so maybe sometime in the future.
Atually Mr. maczippy, my company has just opened an office near San Jose and I will be travelling there alot quite soon. Know any good curry places in Silicon Valley ?
I've been to the Kebab factory in Cambridge and the food is probably the closest I have got to an 'English Indian' (you should all know what I mean by that).
It is a farly modern place that gets pretty busy with a decent selection of food. The only downside is that you can't get a pint of beer with your food.
Good to see another Charlton fan on the message board!
Do not go to the Indian near the Plough n Stars (English Pub in Harvard, Mass Ave) its crap and gave me the ****s. Heard the food in the Plough is pretty good - they also put English footie on the box at the weekend!

I love curries and it is one of the biggest things I miss out here in SF! I used to live on a street in London which boasted FOUR curry places within about 300 yards!! Sadly lacking over here though. I'd welcome some good curry place suggestions from anyone in the Bay Area - Indian Oven in SF on Filmore is about as close as I've found....
Welcome to the board WG!!
Yahoo, another local - well kinda!!
I have a list of good restaurants I'm putting together for Chelle, I should have it together this week.
Btw, I am in Santa Cruz/Capitola - Central Coast

And I thought that I was the only one. If you are ever in Southern New Hampshire look out for the blue Subaru with the licence plate 'CAFC', that'll be me.
I'll be up for a decent curry jono, let me know when you wanna go. Im sure others will also join us !!
Addick, you don't say where in S NH you are but there is a good small Indian in Dover.
It's been years since we've been there because we have kids and they don't appreciate ethnic food yet and they don't have burgers or pizza on the menu. roll
