Looking for someone that has an iPod. I have set up a Podcast and I would like to test it. Also need a iTunes subscriber to add it to the Podcast Directory.
I have an Ipod.
what'cha need?
Buying one this week at the airport....no doubt I'll be on here looking for some help in the near future.......
They are sort of like a cash cow these ipods, was in london this month, and it was like everyone has got one, even the ipod store on regent street was packed. As a gadget guy, I haven't found the need for one yet, as my car stereo plays mp3s, and I can store many mp3s on a dvd, and even play it on our hoem dvd player, and that is a whole lot of songs.
They keep bringing out different generation of these things, the 5th one coming out soon. The most ugliest one though, has got to be the U2 ipod. The mini ipods look cute.

They are just amazing aren't they. We got one for Katy for her birthday. Best thing we could have got for her. She not only stores all her music on it, she also puts copies of her favorite taped books to listen to also. And you can take them anywhere with you. :)
My sis and I are talking about getting one for her daughter/my niece for her birthday.
I'm going to London next week. I'm not very good with these things.
What is the best one for a teenage girl. i've seen some pink ones
Also how does it re-charge? It is a 'right kerfuffle' if I buy it here for use in the UK. Are they better off buying it in the UK?
Capellirosi, the iPod mini comes in pink. You can get either a 4 or a 6GB version. However, I'm not sure if they're going to continue them or start the iPod nano. Which doesn't appear to come in pink.
I love mine.
I was given one when they first came out but hate the ear pieces so gave it back to hubby. I also have this weird thing of wanting to know what's going on around me rather than being cushioned in music.
The new nano pods are prone to scratchyiness within a matter of days. What's'is face at the company says it was a bad batch from the manufacturers and if you bought one that scratched you can swop it. The guys at work will be pleased. As one said, I've had it 3 days, looks like 3 years. Boy was he pissed. smile
I've had my Nano (they only come in black or white at the moment) for about 3 weeks now and so far it has yet to scratch or crack, but I have heard there was a faulty batch, but according to something I read in the paper, it was less than 0.1% of all those that had been bought.
The Nano is very small, but you can 'only' get up to 4GB, but that's 1,000 songs and way more than I expect I will get on it.....

Yes, I gave up at the walkman stage. I get too absorbed in what I'm listening to and start softly mumbling the words and or make humming noises. This for some reason annoyed fellow passengers on my commute - so I resumed reading...
Since then I've confined listenign to music as an 'indoor' activity
Thanks for all the tips everyone . Still looking for the answer to the buy in US/use in UK -will this work?
what is an Ipod :?:
It's a walkman.
They mostly charge up using the USB connector so you should be able to buy one in the US cheaper and still use it without any problems in the UK.
