Very interesting article - thanks for posting John.

I was very disappointed with the handling of the whole tragedy, from start to finish. The family are right to scoff at the money offered them and dig deeper and heads must surely roll.

I was very disgusted by the reception of the news here though, from some right-wing nut-jobs. They truly believed from the outset that he was a terrorist, was wearing a coat that could have concealed a bomb, vaulted the ticket barrier to escape police and was justifiably shot on the train. Once this news began to dissolve into a pack of lies (something most right wingers seem to experience a lot these days), they shifted to the fact that he was an "illegal", as if this makes it ok to execute a man in broad daylight, on a commuter train, in a government sanctioned operation.

It seems that "surveillance" and "intelligence" are the Achilles Heel of the so-called super-powers. I recommend we all go back to school, learn some new methods and funnel a chunk of the billions that we waste on aircraft, ships and military weapons into getting decent, unarguable intelligence on the targets we seek to neutralise.
