Ok, so why are so many freaking planes crashing at the moment? I count 5 or 6 in the last few weeks.
The next thread provides the reason, all these people buying into "evolution" crap and ridiculing Creation.

I'm not to sure, but I reckon it has a lot to do with twatting the ground at high speed. but maybe that's just me.

Not saying that God makes planes crash (which some people might infer from this) but agreed. The adversary is everywhere.
You may now return to your regularly scheduled earthly programming.

Don't know but it was kind of freaky when that one crashed on Sicily the day before I flew to Italy and then again the day after I get back from Germany that Greek one then the Venezuelan one the day after that.

I don't know why but it reminds me of a few years back when 5 or 6 countries had severe blackouts due to electricity grid problems. That all happened in a week or so too. Of course, this is much worse because people are dead.

Has the discovery shuttle that just landed recently, have anything to do with this, all that fixing parts that fell off and all that? The Toronto one was scary, cos I was actually driving back on the 401 from work at the time, near pearson airport

Air travel is still the safest way to travel right though

OK guys looking for some assurance here..... ???
I've been wondering the same thing!!!!!! Jeez - what's going on out there? I thought the Toronto thing was bad enough but at least nobody was hurt badly or injured.......but now the Greece crash has just TOTALLY freaked me out!!!! sad
OK. I am the world's worst flyer. "If we had been meant to fly - we would have been born with wings" etc. etc. yadda yadda yadda. I can't get over it at all.
Well - in less than FOUR WEEKS time we (my husband and I) are due to fly over to Scotland to visit my family and my hometown. It will be my husband's first time over there at all and my first time flying since late 2002. I am - to put it lightly - crapping it.
I've actually got a little obsessive compulsive about it lately.........trying to do stuff that will ensure we have a safe journey........but I hear everybody's a bit obsessvie compulsive in their lives, anyhow.
I am also claustrophobic.
Help.

PS - Any good herbal (not 'urbal) calming supplements/sedatives that are recommended, too??

Karen, try Passiflora and or Valerian, which smells just like catpea, or skullcap, that's very good. Mind only small doses of the tincture of the last two unless you wish to sleep thru the flight. Passiflora, coming from the passion flower, is a great little tincture. Specific to cramps and nervous anxiety. One or two droppers full on the tongue every couple of hours would do no harm. That's a dropper in a 2 oz bottle not a dropper in a liter bottle wink So passiflora to get you thru and skullcap/valerian to take off any edge that's left.
Drink lots of water, don't carry nail scissors and wear flip flops or sandals you can slip on or off.
