hooking these things up is more complicated than brain surgery! mad we're on our second hour of trying to hook the damn thing up!

As long as u have the right cables, it shouldn't take you more than 10mins. You might want to replace some of the cheap cables and wires that come with it, with proper ones from the store.
There are quite a few online FAQs knocking around of this.
