When I first saw the title 'March Of The Penguins" I thought it was about Sidney Crosby grin (another joke that bombed!! wink )

I went to see it yesterday and I thought it was a great documentary. Considering that the french production crew spent so much time (about 13 months or so) on the most inhospitable place on Earth (Antarctica not Galatasaray wink ) I thought they did a wonderful job. I got my doubts that Morgan Freeman was there though!! roll wink

Ive been guilty of watching some blockbuster movie crap in my time but you know after a few seconds of thinking to myself "why am I watching a National Geographic Documentary in the cinema?" I was totally absorbed by the film. Morgan Freeman's velvet tones just add to eloquence and the rangey, yet baron scenery of the movie. Its sad, moving and quirky in parts and just add to my own questions of life, the universe and everything......... ???

Isnt it just amazing that in such a (for want of a better but I suppose apt description) godforsaken place like Antarctica nature finds a way to sustain and maintain and reproduce life. The whole penguin cycle of life in this film is so absorbing, and the manner of which they court and seemingly love and tend for each other strangely compels to ask questions of the nature of love........
Mind you its the usual Hollywood formula of boy meets girl boy loses girl for a while whilst left holding the chick with rites of passage type stuff..... wink

Its not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but there again I always did like Burgess Meredith wink (yeah another joke that bombed...... wink )
