Exclusively at Netflix Founded in 1974 and based in L.A., the Z Channel was the nation's first pay-cable station, preceding HBO or Showtime. At its pinnacle in the early '80s, it served only 100,000 viewers, but still inspired and influenced the movie industry with its eclectic fare, securing a unique place in film history. IFC Films and director Xan Cassavetes celebrate the Z Channel and founder Jerry Harvey with this captivating documentary.

Best documentary i've seen in ages. Well worth a look see, and a wee weep over how the big guys edged out a guy who had more foresight than the lot of them put together. smile
