I knew I was right... wink
An expert says that video games maybe 'therapeutic'
I was thinking the same thing yesterday as I was turning to the darkside yesterday after a killing spree in Revenge Of The Sith!! twisted
I know that video games have ratings on them, but is it more of a guideline than a rule? Should and could the controls on these games be tighter?

I find some of mine an excellent way to blow off some steam - mostly the World War II shooters like the "Medal of Honor" and "Call of Duty" games.

Still, have you seen all the hoo-hah over the unlocked code that is in "Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas" - now instead of the hero just going over to his girlfriends' for coffee, there's an interactive bit of what is going on inside! shock

Even Hillary Clinton has jumped on the bandwagon, condemming Rockstar Games - obviously not getting any herself still wink
We've seen how therapeutic it can be in the states, with copycat killings
Of course not all video games are GTA.

I enjoy playing some of the free downloads and some not-so-free ones ;o) like Zuma and Luxor which are two similar games. They belong to the shoot-stuff-of-the-same-colour-so-stuff-explodes type genre. I play for half an hour to an hour every day for a bit of light relief.
I dont play video games last one i did was* pac man* innocent little game, now they are mostly filled with violence .

Right... and twenty years ago you would have blamed pop music and forty years ago it would have been Marlon Brando movies.

Read the ratings on the box people.

Well all I ever play are Fifa 2005 really. And it stops becoming therapeutic when the savegame thing doesn't work after about 9 seasons and just crashes. Or when a 35 year old says he will not sign for my club. What's wrong with Cheltenham Trevor Sinclair, tell me...
