Jim Rome, What a fecking Whanker
I know that a lot of you dont like US sports, and as much as I like US sports I think this man is one of the most arrogant mouthy tossers I have ever heard He's his own greatest fan

I was tuning my radio for the canadian sports station (for the hockey CBA news) and I got this idiot by accident. He was having a tirade about how british golf courses have 'no trees' and that that because 'it rains every day' that there would be some trees and how british people dont know what compost is and that we dont know how to use weedkiller. I take it that he was bitching about the links courses. I'm not the greatest fan of golf but I just get vexed by this idiot. he rips into football and football players and football culture even though what he knows about football he couldnt write on the back of a fecking stamp

Do you know any other tossers like him?
Jim Rome is pretty full of himself no?

I like Pardon the Interuption on ESPN, for decent sporting debate, you can't go wrong.
Jim Rome is the kind of person the US media does *NOT* need. More uninformed ignorant portayals of stereotypes!
I always thought Gary Newbon on ITV's "The Big Match" was a tosser, albeit in a different vein. I saw YTS kids in their first week that could do a better interview than he seemed to be able to do.

Then again, he did come up with this gem

"And there'll be more football in a moment, but first we've got the highlights of the Scottish League Cup Final."

The Radio 4/BBC2 show "Radio Active" had an incompetent character called Martin Brown that seemed to be modelled a bit on Gary Newbon.

What is he now? Head of ITV Sport I expect.
Newbon is doing talk radio now
I forget the station but he does the equivalent of 606 on 5 Live
He used to do the sports on Central TV along with Jimmy Greaves
When he was on central he was okay but when listened to him on talk radio he was an arrogant git roll
Yeah I know, I'll probably be about as popular as a pork chop at a Jewish wedding for saying this but I think one of sports biggest tossers was Jimmy Hill.

The other person that springs to mind was the Scottish bloke who presented Soccer Saturday on Canadian TV which screened live English footy games during the mid 90's. Can't remember his name though.

Jimmy Hill was and still is a darling
I remember when he used to do the sport on BBC1 on Nationwide aswell as MOTD
When Sky did his show didnt they try to portray Jimmy Hill in the same kind of idea as Rome Is Burning?
I dont think Jimmy Hill is half as bad as that tosser

He won't be the first one to be full of himself, would he now? I mean.....there are quite a few like him around

OK, I'll bite...

Never a truer word spoken ;o)

I'll take the bait for 100 please Alex.
I wouldn't urinate in Jim Rome's mouth if his gums were on fire.

Mrs Rude knows more about football than him.

Jimmy Greaves used to call him Jim 'Razzmatazz'
I dont think he liked it a lot
I liked Jim Rosanthal too. I wonder if he's still on ITV?

I'll bite too

I'll agree with the point to a certain degree about him being arrogant and not being the first one to be like that, but, with an exception...
Who in the states on a nationally syndicated sports radio programme and a national cable sports show is as arrogant, yet has the nerve to slag off a global sport as football like Rome does? Because he knows nothing about football, and yet he slags off the sport, and more importantly the fans too. To me his a great exception to the rule, and is a complete tossartist
