My sisters were telling me about this spooky documentary from the UK called 'Most haunted'. By chance last friday night I actually watched the season premiere of most Haunted on the Travel Channel. which I normally like to watch for Samantha Brown wink
Basically, what they do is that they go to these haunted places around the UK and they take cameras and thermal imaging equipment and they visit initially during the daytime, and then they return and walk around thee places through the night and try to catch any paranormal activities.
I not that sceptical about ghosts, maybe of some of the stories? but I found this show pretty interesting. The host of the show is Yvette Fielding, formerly of Blue Peter and Seaview, with her husband, a few psychics and some paranormal investigators.
I always wondered if there was life after Blue Peter myself?? wink

The first time I watched this, it seemed so 'amateur' and made up, but the more I've watched it the more I've liked it. The psychic, Derek (the scouse one) is just so over the top!!!
Have you seen Ghost Hunters on the Sci Fi channel here? I prefer that to Most Haunted as it's basically the same thing (but in places in the US) but they are a lot more sceptic and out to disprove anything - but they do find some spooky things they can't explain. In fact, I think there's a marathon of repeats on tonight and I think the new series starts next week.
When I first watched Most Haunted it reminded me a little of Ghost Hunters. I quite like Most Haunted, the scouse medium looks like an old pub singer wink

I'm addicted to the show! I thought it was hokey at first, and Yvette just annoyed me with all her screaming and running out of the building... but now I have to watch!

Do you remember that spoof documentary about ten years ago? I think it was hosted by Sarah Green and was about a family who were haunted by a poltergeist. It was done very seriously but was obviously a fake. At least I thought it was obvious, to those who thought it was real it was terrifying; a small girl was seen to be possessed by the spirit. Thousands of viewers complained about the distress it had caused them and their families and it was reported that for one particular already unstable person it was the last straw and they commited suicide.
There is a similar show on wed nights * on one of the networks i think * my wife watches about real life situations where there is reason to think there is a * unnatural presence *

Ive watched Ghost Hunters, it was the season finale last week. The investigations are done using a lot of cameras and scientific instruments but its no more *real life* than Most Haunted, after all theyre all looking for evidence of the supernatural. Ghost Hunters does have equipment but they even walk around in these places and look and listen for bumps in the night :wink:
I just thought I'd let you know (if youre interested) that Most Haunted is going live this Halloween weekend from London. They're going to be looking for the spirit of Jack The Ripper. It starts on Friday night and ends on Monday night. I just got to watch it to see if Derek gets possessed by the spirit of Jack The Ripper shock
