I would like to see what everyone thinks about this topic and it comes up because of something John said lol.

Religion seems be behind alot of problems these days. We are at present calling the Muslims that planted those bombs extremists, but I have heard them called conservative, with conservative values Blah Blah Blah. you know the drill how they would like run run things, via the rules that are set down in their holy book.
But could you not label the Christern right the same, wanting to impose their believes and morals on everyone. At this time they have not gone to an extreme, but some time back the KKK was preaching the bible and cliaming it was the word of god etc.

Question? I cannot believe that the vast majority of people feel either way, they just want to get on with everyone etc so how does a minority view suddenly become a the view that is followed and imposed.

I think people tend to look at the short term, use the tools available to get their goals done, but then realise they have created a demon. EG Iran, soviet union or what ever.

There are alot of questions in all this, but if you line it all up.

Views please. A great topic for debate

Spanish Inquisition and Crusades regards.

Christianity has more blood on it's hands than any other religion bar none.

Manc thats exactly right and as there are more non religiuos folks on this board then those that believe i think you wont get to many answers .

iIt does seem ironic that the christians who condemm the moslins for taking the words of the koran out of context to justify there bigoted views do the same thing with there holy book ( bable )

I know many folks who go to church on sunday just to keep up the status q and have no* love thy nieghbour * or other teaching of jesus in there everyday life ,

there are ingrown ideas in society that believes " if you go to church on sunday you are a good PERSON " herby lies the answer why there are folks sitting in the pews on sundays .

I have found lots of folks to be extremly shallowand insecure and what others percieve them to be is more important than being who they really are JMO.

being in a church on sunday does NOT a christian make, any more then being in a garage makes you a car
