Try Jones' sausage meat (in the freezer) and readymade puff pastry (I use the frozen). Really easy and very tasty )

7 weeks and 5 days until I go home for 2 weeks. I am spending a couple of days in Cornwall and will be eating as many pasties as I can lay my hands on..

i made some sausage rolls at thanksgiving, they've always been a kind of holiday food, and as thanksgiving had the same kind of buzz as chrimbo i jostled up some sos rolls and mince pies. had to use jimmy dean sausage, but it worked out right and they went down rather well. Americans wrap weeners in bread rolls but the mighty sausage roll towered over pigs in blankets. its a meal.
tried using ready made pastry once, was convenient but not too good, find a recipe and make it from scratch. it took a couple of goes but worked very well. Made my own cornish pasties too, turnips and all.
Going out to try a Pit Beef sandwich sometime soon, they're famous here in Baltimore, Hon.
