London. So don't fly home the summer of that year, tickets will skyrocket in price.
Outstanding news!!
Hey ?
Do we get a gold medal for beating the french ? 8)
So do this mean they'll actually get around to finishing Wembley now?
Fantastic! Well-deserved - and now at least there's a reason to keep the Milennium Dome.

Hey Bungle...
Did you know that Delaware North (Jeremy Jacobs) has got the contract to do the concessions at Wembley? I wonder if theyre going to send staff from Buffalo go over and work the concession stands??

Hey if they pay for my trip I'll do the cup finals.

Why did the French bid fail at the last hurdle? Let me see now...

(wow where the heck did these buttons come from, I'll have to try some of these out soon)

Bon appetit, Chirac!

You think British cuisine is bad, you should try eating these!

To paraphrase a Norwegian commentator

"We are the best in the world! We have beaten France! Napolean, Marie Antoinette, Charle De Gaulle, Jaques Delors, we have beaten them all! Jaques Chirac, can you hear me? Jaques Chirac, your boys took a hell of a beating.!"

grin grin
The good news is....... that London got the Olympics....
The bad news is......... that they blew the entire olympics budget on security for the G8 summit grin grin
OK let's look on the positive side. Whoever gets the Olympics usually
has a lot more Athletes competing.

The way I see it we've got 6 or 7 years to get good enough at something
to chance our arm - so what's everyone going for?

I fancy Archery, you only have to stand about a bit and it looks easy
enough
to hit the big target thing
Fire a couple of arrows off and Bob's your uncle, gold medal on the
mantlepiece thank you very much
I wonder if there's going to be a Great Britian footy team now? There was talk of it if London got the olympics.
I think being in London, and the narrow east end streets, that Kerby should be at least a demonstration sport.

I'd be dead good at that
Howabout a 'park footie' demo sport?
with a rushback goalie
and the obligatory jumpers for goalposts? wink
I hope we do get a footy team together even if it is just for this games. I can't see the powers that be letting us have one for good, but I think they can let us do it for our home games.

I do like the idea of park footy. If they can do beach volleyball, why not? I am sure street basketball would get into a NY Olympics, too...
