I have a stomach made of cast iron. Often eating stuff well beyond the sell by date....stuff with moss growing on it.....loads of fatty sugary stuff. Havn't puked once since I've lived here....never taken a day off sick and only put on about 5 pounds in 5 years. Hardly even exercise either.
OK, any ladies want to join me in the lynching of the skinny barsteward.
Nah, we need to be sympathetic ...after all, we all know what the best exercise is, and he obviously aint getting any.......
HEY! I walk the dog at least 3 times a week!
Pics.
Well I've just bought a scanner = now to figure out how to use the bloody thing.
I must admit with all the excercise I do, I've grown a few more inches.
Ellie, did you drink bottled water in the UK too?
Within a couple of days of drinking and cooking with the tap water, I started to feel really ill. Once I swapped over to drinking bottled water, I felt a lot better. Now we have a filter on the fridge and that helps a lot but we still buy a lot of bottled water. Something we never did (or needed to) in the UK.
When I was at college we did a tour of the water treatment works and it put me off tap water for the longest time!!
I used to go up to the Malvern Hills and fill up my containers with Malvern spring water!!!
I'm not that keen on the tap water here so I get a lot of bottled water like Poland Spring, Aquafina's alright too
I once knew someone who was doing a degree in water or something and she said she wouldn't touch mineral water with a bargepole....she liked tapwater. I reckon bottled water is the biggest ripoff in history.
I like pellegrino, less than a dollar a big bottle at costco. buy it by the case. Mixes well with the other stuff i drink too. lol

We used to get Poland Spring delivered, and apparently a letter was sent out to Poland Spring customers who were on their database, we got a letter from this legal firm who were doing some kind of class action against Poland Spring. I'm not entirely sure of the exact details now but it was something to do with the way they extract and bottle the water (something minor and miniscule  ) and anyway it's not really from Poland....
So I think that what you have said may have some legitimacy. Unfortunately St. Annes Well in Malvern is like 4000 odd miles away so I'll have to do with what I got!!
Maybe it is something they put in the water after all??

Well I've heard of it being called spanking the monkey and choking the chicken, but walking the dog is a new one on me.....

These young people and their new fangled sayings
So, how has your stomach coped with the rich sauces, loaded potatoes and other foods here.
Only thing here that ever gives my stomach issues is fizzy Murrican beer. I can eat pretty much anything in the US with no ill-effects.
/possibly an ill wind for the poor buggers behind me though

Have to agree with Ellie the tap water here in Florida is terrible, ours is filled with so many chemicals and rust. I drank bottled water for years, but then they came out with all the bacteria in those. Now we have a carbon filter system on our taps.
It's taken years of eating anything I want here stateside, but it finally has caught up with me and my stomach, and at the moment I'm paying for it.[schild=10 fontcolor=C0C0C0 shadowcolor=C0C0C0 shieldshadow=1]yuck[/schild]

Ours was too, Ginger. Yuck! Even worse is the sulphur water. The smell is so gross it made me physically puke. Horrid, horrid stuff.
........I've grown a few more inches.
In all the right places, I hope.
I drink the city water here in Michigan, I believe it is taken from Lake Mich. The ILs have well water, I am not so keen on that.
