The legislation still has to be passed by the senate to become law. If it is as expected, it will be law by the end of July.

Let's see...anyone else hear about the protestors who disrupted the funeral of a special forces soldier because he was gay? They surrounded the funeral carrying signs reading "Thank God For IEDS," "Fag Body Bag," and "Fag Soldier In Hell." Members of the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas protested becasue they "oppose homosexuality and believe the terrorist attacks on the U.S. on September 11, 2001 and all the following U.S. casualities are a result of tolerance for homosexuality."

I think the background on that one was that he wanted to put up an anti-gay display in a park, so to cut off the argument that they already allowed religious/moral viewpoint displays, they pre-empted him by removing the 10 commandments.

It pisses me off that this man can use "free speech" to basically verbally defecate on someone's funeral, yet Howard Stern cant' say "F.UCK" on the radio without getting fined and almost arrested. This country has it's head up its ass. It's so frustrating.
