This was bound to happen, with all the corruption in that country, am surprised it took this long to surface really.

I bank with First Direct, in Leeds, but they are starting to change for the worse. Technically, they are now HSBC (who I think is the bank mentioned in the article) and the last time I called Leeds to authorise a lot of activity on my credit card, they put me through to "another department".

Cue some obviously made up, Anglo-Saxon named person in an Indian Call Centre. evil

To be honest, I keep a close eye on all my accounts and any unauthorised charges would be picked up, complained about and compensated back to me in no time.

However, I would gladly see big business start getting cold feet about hiring these cheap workers in foreign countries. I think the Yorkshire lads and lasses can do a much better job, quite frankly and I don't doubt their honesty, despite them being from the north wink
