Four decades after the birth control pill became available to women, researchers at the University of Kansas and the University of Kansas Medical Center are working to develop a similar contraceptive for men.

The researchers plan to test about a half-million chemical compounds to find a pill that does not involve hormones that men could take weekly or monthly. They also hope to find something that is close to 100 percent effective and has no risky side effects

This is not new. Many companies have been working on it before. Why did they stop/slow down? Because market research showed that women -the ones who will suffer if the contraceptive method fails- will not trust a contraceptive they cannot see or have not taken themselves. I wouldn't be surpised if this dies the same death. It's just a promotional "news" item, imo.
Yeh, I remember this being hot news a few years back with a different product. Same opinion, the women (and I agree with them) would not trust that the man had remembered to take the tablet.
My thoughts too!

Let's face it, they have the equipment but can't even manage to pee with any degree of accuracy most of the time so getting the poor buggers to take a pill once a day is not going to be greeted with any big "Yee-Haw's" in this camp.

Back to the drawing board regards.....

Agreed. Someone who can't remember in which direction they threw their underpants last night cannot be trusted.

True.....but isn't "I love you" what most girls in their 20s nowadays want to hear? Also after a few drinks on a night out, most just get so amorous :o

The older women on the other hand.......

It's called a condom with spermicidal lubricant. And if you don't have one you should stay home.

If I were a woman, I would accept no substitute.

You do realize that what you quoted me of, is actually from the article?
