Just got done watching the final set of Henin-Hardenne vs Danilidou, what a great match that was! Two players who have a wide range of shots. I think HH choked having not played on grass for 2 years. The Greek was suffering from muscle pulls or something around her knee but still managed to fight her off.

Then I saw Tim finish off the Finnish - he looked sharp in the final set, maybe he needed a couple of sets to get warmed up.

I don't watch tennis all year round, I only watch it when it's at Wimbledon. The grass brings out the best of players' skill.
watching Henman can be stressful on the old ticker, mercurial one minute and complete and utter crap the next. Very inconsistent player, don't think has the physical atttributes to win Wimbledon but he is ther best we have so of course I am screaming my lungs out for him.
Don't you mean "Wimpleton"! lol lol
Very weird that, most of my fellow workers call it that too, have to say to them that it's actually Wimbledon roll It's got to be right up there, with illuminum
Apparently....Sharapova has got the loudest moan/groan on the ladies tennis circuit, measured at 100db

Only Sun readers would care how loud a famous woman can groan...

Actually it's there with "bloo'y". Like they're spelling bloody with a t and dropping it.

It all comes down to the American way of vocalising consonants such as the t in water->wah-der, etc... They try to correct and over correct, just like the typical Eliza would add an h to every word that starts with a vowel.

I do the same every now and then, growing up in Waufemstow I didn't learn to say a "th" until I was 20. Every now and then I will slip up and say something like wather instead of wafer...

I think Tiger Tim is the perennial runner up, he just doesn't have that extra bit of quality to go the all the way.

But for me, that Sharapova is pure class, I would like to see her go all the way. wink
Tiger Tim.....they still call him that? He has no chance of beating the likes of Lleyton Hewitt, Roger federrer and others. Sharapova is a cutie alright, but the moaning is unbearable, wonder if she is like that in bed? Anyhoo....don't think she is going to win this year, the same goes to the william brothers, I mean sisters :D

Add HH's 1st round demise and we are left with? Davenport? That's about it I think?

would.nt you like to go all the way with sharapova ???

Shapova is a doll.

Henman will crash and burn in the semis again this year .

He won't reach the quarters.

She is only 18 though :o Looking at the ladies rankings, there are almost 12 Russians in the top 20, and the list doesn't include Kournikova

Kournikova never was that good, just famous because she was considered by most to be the hottest thing on the court.
