Anyone catch the Turkey v Ukraine FIFA World Youth Championship game that was shown on FSC this afternoon? I caught the 2nd Ukrainian goal, scored by a Mr Aliiev. It was a free kick from maybe 3 yards short of the centre circle. Flew in the top corner off the crossbar. I'll try to dig out some video, if I can't, I caught it on TiVo and will rip it later this weekend.

I wouldn't mind taking a nosey!

OK folks here you go. It should be noted the free kick offence took place within a foot of the centre circle so Ukraine cheated 5 yards out of it, but I think Aliiev would have scored from there too...

Referees can't be at fault. There's no way you can tell if a ball is a yard over a goal line when you are *rightly* standing at the halfway line or within about 10 yards of it. No way.

Take them out of Carroll's wages. Players should be more honest. Why do football players have to be a bunch of cheaters?

Best freekick I saw before that one was Paul " 'ardest shot in all four divisions" Wotton for Plymouth. He never scored one from that distance though - who would even allow a player to try from that distance????
