How likely are we to find a rural campsite (or any campsite) if we don't prebook?
Well at worst there's our front yard...
There are plenty of camp sites over here, I doubt you will have any trouble finding one. I'll make enquiries around those that go camping.
I think I meant "rustic" rather than "rural" (i.e. well with pump and cesspit provided). Front yard would be a lovely emergency back-up, thanks -is it a doggy domain, though (sprogs and I are not big fans)?
Labor day last year, we found almost all sites -especially rustic- were booked......
The dogs only "use" the back yard which is fenced in. They live inside with us. So the only dogs you will know about are any strays or roamers that may come into the yard (no signs of any in the last year or two).
How far from Muskegon would you be looking at going for the camp site?

As close as possible to your do.........
BTW if Tim makes it to the final, everyone's welcome at our place to watch it before we hit the beach. Just drop me a PM for the address.
Also, if you are not so keen on the drive-ins, you can also come back to our place for a game of darts (bristle board, of course), air hockey or Subbuteo...

Scratch that. Make it:

Sorry, I don't think we're going to make it. If we do, it will be mid-Sunday afternoon. We're driving to NYC the next weekend and need time to prepare, not to mention chill before the road trip.
We're not starting till around 2pm anyway, monster.
I have complete details of parking and whatnot if anyone sends me a PM or e-mail.
