Some of you have asked us when/if we'll be in your area when we pass through this summer.
The answer is that we'd love to meet y'all and will plan our trip around it. We will be in the NYC area fron 11-17 July, then will head North through CT, RI, MA(Boston). (sw)Maine, NH, then back across to Michigan as the fancy takes us.
We'll be camping, so no need for hospitality -just PM or post if you fancy a meet-up. )
Tactfully avoiding Illinois I see. Our dog is not that smelly.

OK current plans look like we may have to miss Maine and NH as overnight stops so Hebe can get back for the swim and dive meets she so enjoys (also gives us more time to unpack and unwind before Beest goes back to work).
So we will be in NJ/NYC from 11th-17, then -we think- spend the night of the 17th in CT somewhere, the 18th, 19th and 20th in the Boston area, travelling back on the 21st and 22nd. We might go back via Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Fri 15th July Britnet get-together in the evening somewhere in the NYC area
Sun 17th July probably overnight stop on CT on way to Massachussets where we'll find a campsite a little to the west of Boston and stay there for 3 nights making forays into Boston and other areas. There are Britnetters in MA, NH and Maine (dunno the abbreviation offhand) who are all happy to meet in the Boston area, some are working, so probably an evening get-together on either the 18th, 19th or 20th......
any preferences? It will either need to be child-friendly or we'll need the services of a local babysitter.
We will also be doing many touristy things with our kids in Boston and anyone who would like to join us is more than welcome, suggestions always appreciated.
how does that grab our potential visiting/partying victims?
....if we find a nice campsite and the bug-spray is effective, we would be more than happy to host a camp-fire/BBQ evening at our humble tent for those who like to experience that bit without the discomfort of actual camping )
I can zoom down I-95 and be in the Boston area in about 1hr 45mins from ME

I have plans to meet a fellow Brit friend on the 20th but it's not a problem to change that or bring her along if she wants to.

Once we have a date, could someone please suggest a venue as we have no idea what's there and it might help if we get mapquest directions before we leave!
