Well I have been feeling a little sluggish and tired lately, and have found I now have to unhook after the 4th time, usually its around 6 to 7 so I am definitely under the weather.
I was thinking about cutting out the caffeine, ciggies, alcohol, and instead trying a detox diet.
So, has anyone been on one, and if so, what were your experiences?
And, can you recommend one?

I would say just cutting out caffeine, ciggies, alcohol, is the detox you need right there
What do you mean by "unhook for the 4th time"
God I hope it's not one of your sexual positions
I'd be delighted if I was having to "unhook" after 4 times!!!!! lol
(I take it there's a decent interval/fag break inbetween???)
Debs x lol
Good luck if you can do it. I tried the no caffine thing, I think I lasted about 6 hours. Decided that to stop feeling sluggish I should just increase my caffine intake )
Works like a treat.

I find fasting for 24 hours and drinking just water and green tea does me the world of good. And - as you will- ahem - discover - your colon gets a cleaning too. o
We'll its been 3 days now, the only bad stuff is one cup of tea in the morning.
I am feeling very bored and a tad grumpy.
I'd much rather detax........
I swear by green tea too, got 2 boxes at my desk, and drink 2 cups a day, in between that I drink at least 2 litres of water, and a lunch of salmon and salad.
It's the right time of year, eat dandelion leaves in salad and rhubarb, the great detoxer, cleanses the liver makes everything rosy.

So you're feeling exactly like before, only worse?

I'm about two months into a no alcohol regime. I spoked the odd fag at weekends but I've stopped that about the same time. Going strong still - it gets easier after the first couple of weeks. I'd never have managed this in the UK - too much pressure to drink and smoke.
I've just put myself on a better regime. For the past few months I've been eating too much crap, too much pizza, too much processed food, too much cheese, alcohol, far too much eating out etc. I'm getting fat and unhealthy.
I've basically gone back to the kind of food I made myself twenty years ago when I was more of a hippie and as poor as a church mouse, but was determined to eat healthily. Lots of simply prepared veg and fruit, wokked stirfries with lots of variety and colour, all with brown rice and I've made an enourmous dahl which I'm digging out of the fridge every once and awhile for a low fat soup with lots of protein. It's not meant to necessarily be a diet, just eating better in smaller quantities in a way I still enjoy. I know it sounds a bit 'Modern Parents' but I do feel better already.
I'm doing this until the end of the month and then we're going down to Buffalo to eat chicken wings and pulled pork butt!!! lol lol lol
Well, you have to have some fun wink
I did similar a couple of years ago. Stopped with coffee (in fact, only really drink peppermint tea now anyway - unless I'm gossiping with Zed wink ) replaced Dairy products with soy stuff and rice milk and cut out processed foods. I felt much better in myself quite quickly but became obsessed by the idea of the "forbidden" foods.
Need to do something similar now as I've put on a lot of weight and am not eating enough fruit and veg...
How's it going Moo?
I think I need to buy some green tea.
Yes.....you should mate. This is the one I drink, it's a brand by president's choice sold at various grocery stores here in ontario, kind of like TESCO and ASDA's.
You buy their products, you get points, they also have a no-fees banking service and mastercard
I think I need to buy some green tea.
