bloody well do that..... urgh. I went to costcos brought some mushrooms to add to my salad and the damn things went off 6/4/5, hello is flippin 6/9/5.... arseholes!!! Yes I know its my own fault for not checking. evil

It's horrible isn't it? I worked in a grocery for four years and once a new dairy manager had me go through and pull all of the outdated product. One of the store owners walked by and saw the heap of stuff I was pulling and had a stern talk with the new guy. I check expiry dates religiously.

Same here. I used to work for Tesco and they were pretty decent about it but before that I worked for Gateway (Somerfield) and they were dire.

Safeway where I used to shop before we went organic caught me out a few times. Now, the organic stuff either lasts forever or about 2 days so I don't tend to worry quite so much now.

Watch them dates lots of store stackers put the new stuff in the back .. dig for it and then double check i always take milk from the back of the shelf, they fill them "from the inside "so the old stuff is always at the front
