Sad lose, the Graduate is one of my all time favourite movies and she was excellent as Mrs Robinson
I have never seen "The Graduate" but she did a good voiceover for "Antz".
Aww, how sad. (
A friend of mine had dinner with her and her husband (Mel Brooks) once and said they were the sweetest couple.

...and they had been married over 40 years which is amazing for Hollywood

I liked her in 84 Charing Cross Road with Anthony Hopkins.
That is a sad loss, I had a thing for her in the movies 84 charing cross road, and the graduate. The scene with the leg through the door, and when she said "am here for you if you need me".

Most guys have had crushes on their friend's mums ( aka milfs ) wink
I loved her role in The Graduate too. Great film.
I thought Anne Bancroft was a great actress, and its funny how people remember her for The Graduate and not for her oscar winning role in the The Miracle Worker. A sad loss all the same
