Harmful books? Altogether now "books don't harm people -people harm people" ...and books aren't even much use as a weapon -they tend to open midflight then lose all momentum.

You can read about it, but I don't know much about justify. Much of the killing is in the Old Testament which is no longer valid. Reading the Old Testament and applying it today is like shooting Germans in a WWII video game and going out on the streets of Berlin to replicate it today.

Additionally, its the interpretations(and the differences thereof) that cause trouble. Same for the Koran.

Misinterpretation is a major problem with any religious work. It seems the Koran is taken out of context by religious extremists just as much as the Bible is.

I read "Mein Kampf" a while back - probably due a re-read at some point in the near future.
I've actually met people (let's call them 'apologists') who claim that when you read an original, in German, that the meanings of Hitler's words can be interpreted in other ways. This sounds a lot like Bible interpretations but you don't usually see Bible studiers described as apologists.
Sometimes it might be an apt term I suppose.

We have had this discusion before and you must have missed it . amounst christians on this boad there is a differance of opinion on that ..
so if the old testament is not valid the ten commandment are out of date to ???..
