I suppose, when you think about it, the pointy tip does not really have a whole lot of uses -it could be rounded, but I don't think that'd stop people using them to stab their spouses -it'd just make for messier wounds.

I agree with the new law if you have a burgler (or somebody on your property that means you physical harm ) why should not the use of a gun be considered ...??
If you arent on somebodies property illegally then you have nothing to fear from this law .
