I think I've figured out the American propensity for warfare. I was just flicking through one of those brochures that local school districts give out for out-of-hours classes - my wife and I are thinking of learning French. Everything was fairly normal and bland and aimed at kiddies. The only weird thing I had come across was called "Powerpoint Pizzazz" which was to teach grades 3-6 how to make a Powerpoint presentation - bit young isn't it!? Anyhoo, available in July is this-
Simulations In Warfare - this course will focus on strategic, diplomatic, economic and geographic aspects of warfare through the use of warfare simulations. We will conduct a variety of role-play simulations using World War II as a backdrop. Moreover, we will make our own simulation game, which we will play during the last week of the course. Grades 6-11.
Teaching 11 year olds strategic warfare techniques.....oh my! o
