roll OKay I like trying to make people think, but against that we all carry
opinions,be that religious, political or just plan personal. I try to form an opinion by trying to be neutral (TRY) in all all aspects and then form my thought.

But I do believe that the human race speaks out of both sides of its mouth.
Its all from a selfish point of view. That I am OK and screw the rest springs to mind. Look at whats going on in other parts of the world. They Blame the US and the West in general, when there is no freedom there, but want the help when they need it.

We will prop up various tin pot rulers, give them whatever they want, turn a blind eye, whilst at the same time over throwing others that are bad etc.

Papers will run a story, but rather than report facts the reporter injects some of his/hers personal opinions.
During WWII the press was heavily sensored and to tell you the Truth I don't think we would have won if it was'nt.

We use worlds like freedom, liberals etc etc etc, but they all mean nnothing. We live in a world of double standards were as long as it does not impact us, we really (if we are honest with ourselfs) don't care.
Hmmmmm......I don't think most countries hate the west as a whole, it's the US that most hate with a passion, not just cos they have a stupid president, but cos most of the people there haven't left the country or own a passport, and believe all the crap they are being fed by the media roll

It's kind of like when you mention slavery and the holocaust, people start saying you can't bring all that up, it's in the past. The US has screwed up a lot in the past, by helping rogue dictators and countries.

And of those that do, the vast majority have only ever been to Cancun.

True that.....the same applies in some provinces  Most people haven't left the boonies where they live, and if they have, it's usually the DOMINICAN that comes up in conversations.

I'll rather save and go to somewhere most interesting, than get a cheapo package vacation and end up with a bunch of lager louts, or nascar racing nuts

The same could be said for the majority of Brits too, to be honest, with the hotspots of the Balearics, Algarve, etc...

Although I think our percentage of travellers is a little higher and our percentage of OOB travellers is a little lower.
OOB? Where I come from that means Out Of Bed. What does it mean to you?
