My wife has today flown back to Maryland, to
start making arrangements (buying a car, computer, looking at properties..etc..etc)
Does this make me a ....
TRAILING SPOUSE ?
grin

You will be when you get here.....but at the moment you're a 'seperated spouse'!

I feel very sorry for you - I imagine that you're feeling very anxious and desperately missing your wife. Chin up, you will be reunited very soon, I hope.
smile
It's a funny expression isn't, Trailing Spouse? Sounds like a house plant!
I suppose I'm one too though!

The time you are apart, may seem to drag by, but once you together again, it will all seem worth it! smile
You sound like the other guy who's girlfriend went back to Maryland. Chinn up both of you just take the opportunity have a few extra jars and go out on the pull. Getting you leg over with some bird while wife's away will cheer you up no end. Then of course the World Cup, you can watch it without having to take an ear bashing.
Hope this helps.

:???:

One and the same, surely?

Not sure what you mean
"Sounds like the other guy who's girlfriend
went back to "Maryland"
and
"One and the same surely"
The last time my "Girlfriend" went back to
Maryland was June 2001 (with my ring on her
finger.
We were then married in Maryland in September, since then she has lived in the UK
with me (although she's been back twice)
So I'm not sure what either of you are on
about.
Please elaborate smile
I'm fairly sure Moo was referring to your post on your other thread "sympathy please" where you mentioned your wife was going to Maryland.

It could be that he didn't realise that it was the same person writing about the same incident, it could be he was joking about it in some way, or I could be completely wrong. If I am, I don't remember any other guy in the same situation.

That's right, I rushed the post without checking all the relevant data. Sorry for the confusion, anyway the recommendation still stands, got for it Rogh.

I don't understand why this topic got moved? I thought it was a social chit-chat type thing, not a serious Q and A about immigration etc?

edit Oh, it's back again! Thanks -I was just wondering if I'd completely missed some point or other lol

The question asked if he was a trailing spouse. This is an immigration question so it belongs in the visa and immigration forum so I'm going to put it back there.
