Fulham Ladies beat Doncaster 2-1 in todays
Ladies FA Cup Final.
Sometimes it's not too bad being a Fulham supporter !!
I can't wait for when I get to Maryland and
have my first visit to the Fulham Lounge in
DC. There are about 20 Fulham supporters in
DC, many of whom regularly travel back to the
UK for the footie.
Hey Roger...d'ya mind if I ask you a silly question which has nothing to do with footer?

Is the clock in Coventry - the one with Godiva going around on her horse -- still going?

Daft things I remember from years ago....!
Mich,
Sorry I don't know, they do have a reasonably
new statue next to the Godiva Hotel.
I don't go into the centre very often.
I'm a Londoner who happens to have turned up
here, and stayed, a few years ago.
If the world had Piles they would be in Coventry !!
Mich - yes, it's Peeping Tom who looks down on Lady Godiva on horseback as she emerges from the clock housing when the clock strikes the hour. (It's in Broadgate, opposite the old Owen Owen, now Allders, dept. store).

I think there may be a webcam, and if I find it I'll post it here for you. wink
DAWN,
Bloody local !!
Did you get my mail with my phone number
for your visit at the end of May ?
Ha Ha!

Now, what would your wife say if she saw that comment you've made?! lol

I'd better not go round to your place or that really will get the rumours flying! (I know too many people in your neighbourhood!).

You can meet me in the Shepherd & Shepherdess and mine's half a pint of bitter!

razz

Now, for any lurkers who are wondering who the heck we are, Roger is currently living in the neighbourhood where I grew up and where most of my extended family still live. He's moving over to Maryland as soon as his visa is issued, and as I'm over in England in a couple of weeks (hooray!) I'm bringing over a book about buying a house for him. smile
YES!! That's the one I'm thinking about Dawn!!

And just to prove that I have to get out of the house more often, I've been racking my brain trying to remember the name of the hotel which is right there too. All I can come up with is the Hotel Leofric? Oh, and...Phoenix Court.

Of course, this has no major significance to anything at all, has it?
