If anyone ever finds themselves in Santa Clara of an evening there is an excellent 'Jack in the Box' - the service and ambience was exceptional.
I also ate at IHOP, Brennigans and some Mexican place

Good to know for future reference. I was staying on Great America Parkway -not very rural at all. It's possible I'll be back there in a few months (sales calls - fingers crossed they become customers) or I'll have to invent an excuse to soak up some of that Californian sun again.
