I found this interesting ref to gasoline prices.

It was prompted by a news item today regarding the most costly cities to commute in the US. The most expensive was Atlanta where the average commuter spends $4600/year on gas.

I spend about $400/year. But then I don't have to drive to work.
I think I mentioned something like this a couple of weeks back in another thread. Truth is that gas prices are probably not high enough and need not only to go higher, but to stay there.

It is the only way in America we will ever persuade people to use energy more efficiently.
In general, how do Canadian prices compare to US prices? I didn't have a clue on my recent trip as its all in liters and Canadian $ and I was too much of a lazy arse to figure it out. D
Yes....we get it in litres, and you guys get it in gallons. The link below will give you a rough idea

From my calculations, it seems like Ontario is paying about 50c(US) more per gallon than here in OH, so you're probably paying about the same as some US states are.

adeshell.....are you anywhere near westerville? You seem to be avoiding that question eh, my brother lives there, that is why am asking lol

Yeah, as I said before, Westerville is only a few miles around the 'loop'. Nice place.

Very true. However (unsurprisingly), the knee-jerk reaction when gas prices soar above $2 per gallon is a significant increase in the number of drive-offs. Rather annoying, to say the least, that paying customers and employees are footing the bill for gas thefts. Pre-pay may offer a quick resolve for those gas stations suffering most, however it could potentially hurt business and would most definately inconvenience customers. Gas theft larceny may be better combatted by implementing stricter legal consequences for perpetrators of this crime. Hang 'em high, I say! :P

Most places around us require pre-pay. To be honest, with a debit card it is much easier for the customer too, you just swipe the card, fill and leave.

Of course it helps if you remember to pull the nozzel out of the car and close the tank before you drive off.

Sounds like a lesson from experience? :D I haven't got that bad. I have driven off with the gas tank door open though. I actually went through a car wash and was rather relieved that the whole thing never got ripped off.
