The seven-foot (2.1 meter) casket was built for a 900-pound (64 stone) man who died in Alaska.

Most people who weigh that much can squeeze into Goliath's 52-inch coffin, which is about as big as a double bed.

But this man's legs would not close.

"It's really quite sad," said Goliath's owner, Keith Davis. "The body's been frozen and from what we can gather it's taken a while for them to get (the funeral) arranged.

/damn but that is a huge coffin. Just wanted to share that.
I wonder how much that cost...must be a custom built job.

Fuel is pretty expensive right now.

Whole new meaning to double-wide......

(they still have coffins for funerals even when the body is to be cremated, John)
Poor man.

Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You gotta starve the pigs for a few days, then the site of a chopped-up body would look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victems and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sifting through pigshit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least 16 pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be warry of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression "as greedy as a pig"."

Even if they did cremate him, they'd still use a coffin.

lol What about the poor pallbearers.
I knew of a lady who was of such a size that when she died they had to use a JCB to carry the coffin to the graveside. They couldn't even get it in the church so the service was held outside attended by her hubby, a nurse and a carer.

A very sad, undignified end to a life.

Not a expensive item like the subject of this thread, most cremations theses days use a plain pine box its even been known to use a cardboard box or a sack .......
