So I was at a friends house yesterday for dinner. My wife and I ate with him, his wife and their 13 year old daughter. Anyhoo, the meat in the main course was to be T-Bone steaks grilled. Eveyrthing looked great.

Just before I sat down Mellisa (friend's wife) asked me if I could pass the pudding. (Hmm....why does she want pudding now? Maybe it's for their daughter...) So I passed it over. Mellisa then proceeded to place a giant dollop of chocolate pudding on top of her t-bone steak. I didn't want to be rude and say "duh, that isn't gravy!" so I just waited. Besides, that'd be much funnier. Then to my amazement both the daughter and my friend proceeded to plop chocolate pudding on top of their steaks too. I couldn't hold it in any longer and asked what on earth they were doing.

"We put pudding on most of the beef we eat...it's actually very good...you should try some."

So I did. It was horrifying. I know I shouldn't be surprized considering this is a family that give each other knots as gifts. Yes knots - they tie up string and challenge each other to get it undone by the end of the day.

So, other than putting jello in vegetables for Thankksgiving what kind of nutso food do you and your friends eat? [/i]
And then, when you left, the family creased themselves at the gullible British person who they convinced to put chocolate sauce on his steak.

Oh goodness! I think you've been 'had!!!' lol lol

Peanut butter and jam sandwiches will always seem bizarre to me.
Very odd combination I think.
What I want to know is why go to the expense of buying a nice Tbone steak and then smother it in anything.
Surely you only put gravy or pudding -? on something not so tastey or pricey.
